Rich Streaming is the (platform agnostic) rich-client, streaming video blog of Matt Voerman. It aims to provide a balanced view of the streaming video industry, focusing on news, business, and technical articles. With a weighting towards rich client technologies (i.e. Adobe Flash Player, Microsoft Silverlight, and JavaFX).

Originally based out of Perth (and San Francisco), now located in Sydney, Matt has been involved in the rich internet application (RIA) development industry for over fifteen years. Specialising primarily in Adobe Flash Platform based solutions (AIR, Flash, Flex, and Flash Media Server) within the Financial Services, BioTech and Digital Media sectors.

Matt has been a long-time supporter of the digital media and web development communities, having been a User Group Manager, Community Expert, as well as a regular speaker at industry events such as Adobe MAX, WebDU and Web on the Piste. He has also written, or contributed to, a number of books, whitepapers and articles on the Adobe Flash Platform

His current role, as Engagement Manager with CDN Akamai Technologies, see’s him play a lead role in providing a range of implementation services to Akamai’s key customers and partners within the Australian/New Zealand region.
